7 Be patient, therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it, until it receives the early and the late rains. 8 You also, be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand. – James 5:7-8. ESV
We are called to be patient and wait for the precious fruit, coming of the Lord.
Patience is usually not one of our best qualities. We usually want a resolution to our dilemmas now and we do not want to wait for a future blessing. James points out that we should have the patience of a farmer who plants the seed and waits for the precious fruit. May we patiently wait for the fruit in our lives and struggles, the coming of Jesus Christ.
May we find joy in patience because the reward is worth the wait.
